What makes a great horse property?

To a horse person, the answer is a good barn with water, electricity, stalls with propper footing, plenty of storage, a place to clean and groom your horse and a tack room.

Good fencing is a must.

Paddocks should be properly fenced and seeded. An available water source is a nice, a Nelson heated waterer is a blessing.

The home is secondary, but it must be functional, easy to clean, and perferably, it should have a good view of the barn.

Pasture land should be planted with good hay such as timothy, alfalfa or borme.

Manure management should be easily evident. A dirty barn will quickly depreciate any interest in your property.

These are excellent for forming a filter strip between your parking lot or other high traffic areas that may contaminate your water, stock pond or livestock water source.

These grasses actively grow in the spring and fall and should be installed between March 1st and May 15 or August 1st and September 15.

Actively grow in the summer an dshould be instaled between April 1st and June 15th.
